From this project I learned that taking photos of stars at night is nit too easy. As you can see in these photos, they are not very good, and they could be improved a ton. Since school is completely online now we aren't able to get help from our teacher, Roxy, on how to properly set up our cameras to take pictures of stars since we all have different cameras. A few friends and I watched a few YouTube videos on how to set our up, but it didn't work out, so I downloaded an app called LongExposure on my phone and we used it to take these pictures. I'd have to say the first hardest part of this project was finding a way to hold completely still while taking the photos. We ended up resting my phone on top of the car to take these so the camera wouldn't be moved. The second hardest part was finding a night clear enough to take these. We had some bad weather when we were planning on taking pictures so we kept having to push it back in order to get a night where the stars were clear enough to see. The most enjoyable part of this project was seeing the results of the pictures taken. Although they are not great, it's exciting to know that I am able to take some pictures of stars, and as I continue to use this app I will get better and better at taking them. After this project was over, I realized I want to continue to take reduced light photos. It's pretty fun to see how they turn out and experiment with something new, since most photos are taken during the day. It's good to know there is more out there in the realm of photography, and we now have the technology to experiment with it.
